Great place to picnic, walking trail, clime sand dunes, off road vehicles, camping, kids playground, restrooms.
Needs upkeep, was better when state ran it. It's in need of some revitalizing. Some dunes are overgrown with vegetation kids can't hardly play.
Nice walk but the state park needs some new signs along the trail.
$12 was a little pricey, but was a nice quiet and clean Campground. Dunes were quite the sight!
If I could give it zero stars that would be more fitting. I didn't camp at the Dunes rather the other campground... Huckleberry I think they call it. It was just me and 2 others and the others looked like long term. It cost $20 for elect and water. There were hot showers, but if the bath house was built in the 50s, it hasn't been cleaned since new. Loud trucks and a red Mustang drove through the campground, which clearly states campers only, too fast and too loud. This went on until around 1 PM. One of the other guests played loud music after midnight as well. If they would just turn down the base, it might not have been so bad. I would not recommend it to anyone and certainly would never go back.
